Hi, I've seen Braille books which are paginated in the following way: prefatory material pages are written as p1, p2, ..., while the text outside the prefatory material will be paginated 1, 2, etc. it's only the page sign in front of the number which marks prefatory pages while the body of the text after such does not have a P to mark numbers. Would that suit you. I learned about Roman numerals in school and they are clumsy, but I'm used to them. Perhaps what I've written above might be classified as an alternative. What do you think of that? That might be the case usually, but it is not necessarily so. I would say that it should be done that way only if that is the way the book does it. Right now, for example, I am working on a book in which page one is actually the first of the preliminary pages and the main text does not start until about page 9. I would prefer it if all books were paginated that way, but unfortunately it seems that only a minority are.
