[bksvol-discuss] Re: Finding Books To Scan for Bookshare

The advantage many of us had as typists in the era before computers is that we learned to type as children or teens. Now pretty much everyone does this more readily. When I was in school, the only people other than blind folks who touch typed were folks who wanted to become secretaries.

You are right, E. There is absolutely no advantage in being able to see
when it comes to typing speed and accuracy.

I learned to type when I was ten. I had typed for twenty years
before I got an apple 2e. Cannot imagine any reason a blind person
would be a slow typist. Many sighted folks hunt and peck. Have no
idea who he is comparing us to or what his disability might be. Sounds
silly.
