[bcbirdclub] Unusual Yard Bird

Sadly, no photographs, but my most unusual yard bird was (back in Colorado)
a nesting pair of Cooper's Hawks. Although they were nesting in a tree only
about 10 feet outside my property line, it was impossible to see the nest
without walking around the block. From the park on the other side, you
could get a good view of the nest, but nowhere else.

The only thing I could call an "unusual yard bird" since I've been here in
Virginia was the 100,000-odd American Robins I saw fly over a week after
the 2013 Blackford CBC.

BB,
Hutch
