Thanks for the kind words Bill and your offer to help. "Volunteer" is the key
word here. When we have a 15-20 members who can RO / SO, design stages and run
matches, we'll start hosting the big ones. Though we've made great progress
in 2016, we're a young club and need to keep building up the program: more
people, more props, more ranges.
In 2016 we were very fortunate to have some extremely productive shooters put
in their paperwork to join the club and many of our existing members went over
the top to help out during the course of the year.
Looking back - 2016 was a watershed year for Bradford. We just need to carry
through in 2017 and keep making it better!

Pre-registration is preferred, but is not required. Pre-registration helps me
out because the information is captured electronically. When people fill out
information on paper, I have a hard time reading it. Consequently, they may not
get notification of their score.

The two biggest issues are one second per point down and fault lines.
I would have preferred that points down remained at 1/2 a second, but I can
live with one second per point down. I don’t think it will change the outcome
of matches much.
Fault lines will eliminate the subjectivity of cover calls, inconsistent
enforcement of which was a big problem. Some people are concerned that fault
lines will make it harder to engage some targets. This is true. However, I
think it can be addressed by good stage design.
CCP and BUG dimensions/weights changed to make them more realistic, eliminating
some gamer guns from those divisions.
The new target has a 4” down zero circle in the head box. This adds a little
spice to the game.
Everything else in the new rules is simplification, with many restrictions
removed.
So, as far as I am concerned, BAS will remain an IDPA club.
