Just a note to say thank you for all of your ideas and suggestions re my
Document naming / versions in filenames query.
You've all been a great help.

I have decided to continue with my inclusion of the version number in the
filename of documents within my Network folders.

The Intranet contains only the most current versions and therefore these
will not include a version number in the filename. The version number will
be contained within the document properties and within the Document Control
/ Revision History section of the document.

That will be ok until we get proper version/document control in place.

On that note (should I open this can of worms?) anyone have any thoughts on
good Document Management / Content Management / Records Management or
Knowledge Management Tools. Do you use one and if so what are some pros and
cons of the tool?

Cheers
Nancy
