No expert is able conclude how stars, planets, or human beings are made either. Just because we don't understand something does not mean there is a mystical, supernatural, religious or extraterrestrial explanation behind it. For example, I don't understand how less than a billion people voted to keep Paris Hilton in jail forever, but I don't attribute that phenomenon to aliens, or the Flying Flying Spaghetti Monster. As for crop circles there was a group of people in the UK who admitted they hoaxed the circles, and made a documentary on how they did it. But it still wasn't enough for some people. Despite all the evidence that it was a hoax, people still wanted to believe. In his book Dawkins mentions people who have said that even if there was conclusive evidence that there was no god they would still believe. And why would an alien civilization who mastered the art of traveling billions and billions of light years to communicate with us do such bad job of it?
