OK I can't resist this one.
I lived in Wiltshire for years and saw many crop circles. My theory is that you need the following ingredients for a good crop circle:
The Young Farmers (a social club for yes, young farmers) or a Student Union
Rope
Boards
Someone with a 'brilliant idea' and organisational ability
Several pints of cider each.
No mystery. The 'hoax' ones are just the jolly japes that didn't go as well as the others.

And Warren, on the subject of aliens, what do you (or anyone else) makes of the phenomenon of crop circles. I thought yeah, yeah, had heard about it but when I saw a documentary on it recently, was interested that no expert is able to conclude how they are made. (I am not talking about the hoax ones which are not of the same quality).
PS - Granat must be away.

Yeah Peter, I agree with all your comments there. I like the year of the Flying Spaghetti Monster too.
And AD or BC or BCE? Dumb or what?

On every other planet of superior intelligence in the universe they must be thinking "What are they thinking..." No wonder aliens have left us alone... Who would want us anyway? Other than a greedy colonial planet hunting for resources. And lets face it, if they aren't quick about it, there won't be anything left for them anyway, it will be all consumed for making weapons.
