Hi Andrea,
I did eventually get an offer of cover from AON (via ASTC) last year that only 
matched an offer from a broker that I have used previously.

AON were difficult to deal with, in particular the contact person that ASTC 
were given, however, surprise surprise this year they came good with an 
opportunity for me to seek another quote -- haven't gone with them just stayed 
with the same broker.

It might be worth ASTC approaching the broker that I use?

  The original 'Insurance Deal' put forward by the ASTC (Vic) in conjunction
  with AON did indeed come to an inconclusive end. To summarise, I sent a
  number of people to AON in good faith - as far as I know, every one of them
  was refused cover, and no adequate reason was given for this. So I have
  stopped referring people. I have spoken to a couple of other insurance
  companies, but nothing has really come of any of my discussions (I've told
  them who we are and what they do, and they have thanked me nicely and
  disappeared).
