Hi,

I've just bought a DTP41 off EBay - looks like a sound investment - but I'm having trouble using it with Linux.

Printread gets as far as setting up the instrument, the strip goes through, and then this happens:

serio: Write_Read called with '0405TS^M'
About to write '0405TS^M'
serio: Write returning with 0x0

In other words it's successfully fetching XYZ data, but timing out when asked to fetch the spectral values.

This happens both with the Linux X86 binaries and binaries self-built from the autotools source, on two different machines.

If I run Win2000 under VMWare, and issue the self-same command line to the Windows binaries, everything seems to be OK.

Any ideas?

All the best,
