Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

Hi Sam E.,
You are absolutely right. The Wizard
is the first and best way to go.....if it works. But,
to us who are familiar with the Wizard, he is an
old friend of ours, his questions seem simple
to answer. To some others, not familiar with
the wizard and his questions, the answers to
his questions can be hard to answer. And when
the Wizard doesn't get a connection then things
aren't so simple and getting connected can
require much work. Unfortunately, there is no
universal connection method used by all ISP's.
And the hardest question to answer, or get an
answer to, is what method does any specific
ISP use and what specific options does the ISP
utilize. I have found that the help person one gets
on the phone at his ISP often can't answer these
questions and/or doesn't want to be bothered with
them. The miracle here, with Brian, is that he
found a person at VCN who really wanted to help
him and was smart enough to provide information
in such a way that Brian could use it to get connected.
I think Christopher Cansamone at VCN should get
"Helper of the Year" awartd.
