I encourage everyone to try it both ways and see what you think. What works for one might not work for the other. A while back when we were having issues trying to get caps to look their best, someone suggested removing the "arms" from the cap driver and also giving it a shot sewing with the standard needle plate. It worked, and we've been doing it ever since.
