Embroidery in the groin area........  sounds a might itchy.  Of course this 
might be all the rage next year.  I'll let you know what I see at ISS Fort 
Worth.
For now, I'd stick to the pants legs or back pockets.

Very true . . . and wouldn't that make our job easier if we could just hoop and 
sew wherever . . . LOL . . . at this point I just want to be sure I'm not 
sending the cross country team out in sweats with embroidery framing their 
groin area. I think perhaps an inch or to toward the outer side seam (between 
front center and side seam) might be appropriate . . . and about 6.5" down from 
the waistband.

You know why I answered your post this way?  I once saw a guy with something 
embroidered on the back of his shirt just below the top of his shoulder.  And 
the embroidery was on a 45 degree angle.  Now I'm certain somebody wanted it 
that way but I'm also certain you won't find THAT placement in any embroidery 
book.
So more power to ya'.
