What I usually do is print out the design and then use it to center nicely 
on the diagonal. If you're doing quantity, just print out the largest name 
etc., and make a measurement assessment. Hope this helps. GF

I am preparing to embroider a fleece blanket that is a perfect square.  Can 
anyone advise me on measurements for placement diagonally in one corner? 
Also, the embroidery is two lines, with the top line being shorter.  The 
customer would like the top of the embroidery facing the corner.  Is there a 
standard as to which direction the embroidery should face?
