I wish I had known about that before. That certainly answers that question. Looks like I may be the only person on the list that did not know about that mouse speed adjustment in control panel. As always, I appreciate all help. I am determined to learn this new software and want to be sure that I make the correct purchase in computer hardware so that it will work it's best. I loaded DS on my Amaya computer last night to check on the speed for digitizing. I purchased that computer just less than 2 years ago just for the Amaya and use it for nothing else. It is much faster than my Dell XPS that is 5 years old but I do have some questions there. I found that when I do a change to density (for instance) to say, 20 very small satin stitch elements, it seems like it takes a long time for the change to be made. With DS7 on that computer it happened instantly. Now my question. For my computer is this how the DS9 software works? Is it a RAM issue? Is it a processor speed issue? Is it a software issue (XP Professional vs Vista)? Amaya computer is: Intel core 2 Duo Processor 1.86 GHz, 1066FSB 4MB cache 2 BG DDR2 SDRAM at 667 MHz XP Professional The above computer was plenty fast for DS7 but not for DS9. Any advice welcomed. =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list ===========================================================
