Last year I bought a second hand laptop for my wife that has XP Pro
installed but no XP disc or even a repair disc. She's a very low user so I'm
not too bothered as the machine was a very good price and if it ever needs
work on it I'd throw it and buy another.
Out of interest I downloaded the application George mentioned and installed
it. I'm amazed at how much information it has provided me and how easily it
did it. I downloaded on a save command and then hit Run. It asked me to wait
a couple of minutes and then everything flashed up with all the hardware
details and software key numbers. I run Windows Update automatically and I
am astounded at how many critical updates I have loaded in there.
The question from Marie was how simple is it to run and load. 3 key strokes
is easy in any language.
