Hi Husna

Got the 6630 with Talks 2.00.3 from Vodafone. Without contract it would have cost £250. However, I took it on a 75 minutes/month (all networks) package at £20 per month for a 12 month contract.

This was December 2005.

Simplest is to go to your local Vodafone store and ask them to order you a phone with Talks. Vodafone installs the software. They also offered the 6680.

To date I have not had any problems operating any of the features on the 6630.

I also use a 6600 with Talks.

You can also get Vodafone to unlock the 6630 so you can use any simcard on it.
Despite reports to the contrary on the net this is possible.

I had mine unlocked since I travel a lot and use CaalKey's international simcard that saves one considerable amounts of money on both receiving international calls (free) and making them (about 20% of what Vodafone charges.

The 6630 does have a speaker.

At that stage no other network provided Talks.

Best regards

Hi,

I am thinking of getting a phone with talks on it. I think I want one
with a full keyboard as it will be easier to write notes or texts. Also
I want to have the option of possibly using gps such as street talk or
way finder. What is the best phone to get which is compatible with talks
and gps services? and is it okay to get symbian 80 phones or should I
restrict my self to symbian 60, if so why?

I called vodaphone yesterday to ask them some questions but they didn't
know what I was talking about and kept passing me from department to
department. Should I speak to a specific person and who would this be?

How much should I expect to pay for phones such as this?
Does vodaphone provide the Premium version of talks version 2.5? Do the
phones have a loud speaker? Is a memory card included?

Which is the best phone to get from Nokia 9210 / 9210i, Nokia 7700,
Nokia 9300 or Nokia 9500? And do vodaphone provide any of these? Also
is orange doing anything like this?

Also what do you think about the Nokia 6630?

I know there's a lot of questions here but I would be very grateful for
any advice as I have found vodaphone to be distinctly unhelpful so far
although maybe I wasn't speaking to the right person. How have you found
using vodaphone with talks, if anything goes wrong are they of any help?
And if you buy talks from them does it get installed for you?

Thanks so much,
Husna
