I refer you to the statement at the bottom of your Email about the views expressed here are those of the author etc. So, on whose gbehalf do you speak?
As Ibrahim has already said, we survived before the Penfriend and should the delay be two weeks or two months, we will survive that much longer. That however is not the point most of us are making.
If I place an order with Amazon or Play for example and my order is delayed, I expect an Email of explanation from that company, or some notice to be placed on my account for me to see when I log in. None of these I have received from the RNIB, and neither have many other list members.
I would not expect Amazon or Play to contact me on an Email list, so why should this be accepted from the RNIB. I don't always read the messages from the RNIB employees on this list, so why should I be expected to accept my order updates by that method?
While the RNIB are a charity, when they sell products to us they act as a business and we should expect and receive the same standards of service we expect and receive from other businesses.
So I am sorry, but your opinion while I respect it and your freedom to make it, does not hold with me. As a customer of the RNIB, if they want to inform me about my order they should do so in the proper manner.
