Hi. Steve. When I was a VM customer in 2007. All the customer service calls went through to India. Their customer service was poor and the only solution they provided was to turn my modem on and off along with my computer. That's a shabby company with a shabby service. TIt took them 6 months to admit that my loss of connection problem was a area problem and I use to lose connection twice a day for long periods. Not once VM offered to reduce my bill for the total lack of service and useless customer service. They just read from the script and that was it.They've must have booked their ideas up since then because I can't imagine a company existing like that in todays financial climate. I have heard good reports and reviews over this year concerning VM and I'm finding it hard to believe. I'm no way suggesting that happy VM list members are not telling the whole trueth but if you had to put up with the useless and patronising customer service I had then you would understand where I am coming

Hi Denis, I have never had this problem with Virgin. They have always supported me with a router. They also don't outsource their support staff from India orany other country, they are UK based. Their support isn't always great, butI have never had problems getting support if my Internet service was down with my router involved. The main issue a member of my family has with Virgin is their non-support for problems if you employ a wireless router. They will not enter any discussion once they know you use such a facility and want you to use the connection direct to the wall. I have used ukonline broadband (with wireless router) for over 5 years and have had excellent (no disruption) service in all that time.
