Hi.
Well, firstly you should investigate whether you have cable in your area,
you can do a simple postcode check plus you might need to check with your
landlord whether you can have cable installed. If so, all well and good,
you can buy just broadband on its own and use your O2 phone to make and
receive calls. If you want a landline and you can get cable, with some of
their broadband packages you can get a free or discounted landline, plus
your keeping your options open for the fastest broadband speeds, 10MB plus.
If it has to be a bt landline or through a bt phone socket, I suggest
talktalk who will offer you a landline package and free up to 8MB broadband.
This also has the added advantage of international calling options included,
so you can call many countries around the world for next to nothing or even
completely free of charge.

I am moving into my new flat for rent in a couple of weeks time, and I
was wondering which internet provider in the UK do you guys reckon is
good value for money?
I was considering o2 broadband for the home, beeing as I am an o2
customer I could get it for seven pounds and fifty pence, pus ten pounds
for my BT landline, bringing my total to a respectable, 17 pouns plus my
mobie contract of 20 pounds so bringing everything up to 38 pounds.
However the service is not in my area so I have to pay seventeen pounds
just for the internet, which I feel nowadays is a bit expensive.
Is this the best I am going to get?
