Hi Denis, I have never had this problem with Virgin. They have always supported me with a router. They also don't outsource their support staff from India or any other country, they are UK based. Their support isn't always great, but I have never had problems getting support if my Internet service was down with my router involved. All the best Steve -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Denis Tocher Sent: Friday 3 April 2009 14:21 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: best internet provider? The main issue a member of my family has with Virgin is their non-support for problems if you employ a wireless router. They will not enter any discussion once they know you use such a facility and want you to use the connection direct to the wall. I have used ukonline broadband (with wireless router) for over 5 years and have had excellent (no disruption) service in all that time. We've had no problem with Virgin at all as far as internet and phone service or TV is concerned. We did have a problem at the installation stage with incompetent installation engineers, but since then, we've been very happy. broadband, TV and phone £30 per month inclusive of free weekend calls. Of course, it may be different at the moment depending what the offers are.
