Hi Kevin,

Worth noting that MS Config removes nothing, it merely stops it loading.

All the best

hi, not sure if this has been suggested as yet, but go to msconfig and then to the start up tab and see if it's hiding in there. uncheck it if it is and

restart the pc. to get to msconfig, type msconfig.exe into the run dialogue.

Good idea, but not there either. I have gone down the list several times,
but can't find anything that sounds the least like what I am looking for.
Not to worry.

Hi Wendy,

Is it in services? Some programs are hidden there. Go to the run menu
and
type services.msc, and see if it is there. If it is, then press the
context
key, and arrow down to stop service. Now you will be able to delete it,
once it is stopped.

Not so. Not in system tray or startup, so can't do anything about it. I
don't know what Movie Maker does, and I don't know why the prompt should
say
it is being used by another person or program. I have also found another
program called Quicktime, and can't get rid of that either. I think I
might
just give up!

Hi Wendy,

It sounds like that program is loaded at startup in services or the
startup
program. Have a look in System tray, and see if you can close it from
there.

All the best

Thanks to whoever suggested doing a search and deleting the folders. This
worked fine with Snapfish, but it won't let me get rid of Movie Maker. A
delete error message comes up saying that another person or computer is
using the program. This is rubbish, as I am the only one who uses this
computer.
