The supplier of Jaws certainly did not contact me with regard to compatability of my system prior to me getting Jaws. I was merely contacted to know if I would be at home to take delivery of the software. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hussein Patwa " <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Eleanor,

Not at all. I was simply making a point. The advice any particular JAWS
user may receive at the time of sale is between them and the company and
it's not for me to argue.

Remember I'm speaking from a general technical support perspective. I have no reason to gripe with any company's policies, etc. Further, whereas I do
have views on what constitutes good practice, that's probably a discussion
for elsewhere.

Apologies for the extra mails people, and for any offence caused to any
company or individual.

Are you seriously suggesting that every person purchasing Jaws as a
known
screen reader checks out their system prior to purchase? I would like
to
see the small print from FS stating this as a requirement then at least
I
can go back to the education authority that purchased Jaws 10 for me
and get
them to have my system checked out for compatability.
