I find it very hard to believe that I am in a position where I fall in to that category of 1 per cent and not only do I fall within the small one per cent category but I am doubly unfortunate then that I purchase two computers, a desktop and a netbook over a year apart and both my systems have a problem with the installation of Jaws and not Jaws having the problem.
I might be wrong but I have had equipment and software from toher companies and they provide tech support via telephone free of charge too. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glenn Tookey" <Glenn.Tookey@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Every piece of software is sold with a clear specification of the system requirements required to support the application, Jaws is no different. Given that Jaws 10, 11 or whatever installs on 99% of customers pc's, then I would suggest that the PC is not properly set up rather than there being a problem with JAWS. Our tech support people spend hours on the phone looking after end users who need support in the set up or use of our products -free of charge - you will not get that with most other AT provider and certainly not from PC world or even Microsoft. Our objective is to help you all get the best from your software, we understand it is important to you. You know where we are if you need help, but sometimes the problems are not ours to solve - in those cases you have to get support from your pc provider - that often when you find that you will not receive the personal attention that we provide. You can buy the whole package from us, then you can be sure it will be properly specified and will work out of the box.Regards Glenn -----Original Message-----From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Eleanor BurkeSent: 21 December 2009 15:52 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Jaws Dongle Are you seriously suggesting that every person purchasing Jaws as a known screen reader checks out their system prior to purchase? I would like to see the small print from FS stating this as a requirement then at least Ican go back to the education authority that purchased Jaws 10 for me and getthem to have my system checked out for compatability.----- Original Message ----- From: "Hussein Patwa " <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, December 21, 2009 3:48 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Jaws DongleHi Eleanor, It's always advisable to check compatibility with any application before purchase or installation. This is particular important for access technology, particularly if the technology is planned for use with a particular application. It would be unfortunate if someone paid good money for a product, only to find it didn't work with their chosen application due to a lack of research beforehand. Also, I'm sure there are some notable changes between Jaws 9 and 10. As software advances, it's not inconceivable that the way it operates or interacts with the computer system, not to mention its dependencies and system requirements may change. _______________________________________ Have a pleasant day, Kind Regards and Best Wishes, Hussein. At least it has come now but paying high prices for software and then having to wait so long. I never realized for instance that I would need to check compatability of all my software on my computer and netbook prior to purchasing Jaws, that is a new one on me, it clashing. If Jaws 9 does not clash and can install then why can't Jaws 10 install without clashing? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Hallsworth" <christopherh40@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, December 21, 2009 3:28 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Jaws Dongle > No still haven't got it.
