Yes, I myself have always use CTRL + O to open a Webpage when it wasn't bookmarked, and the majority of people I know do it that way. Interestingly though, most trainers who I've come across recently seem to be directing people to ALT + D, or the F4 key.
Another observation, it would seem that from Firefox, if one wants to actually pull a page from the net, ALT + D seems to be the only way of doing it. CTRL + O appears to point the user straight to locally-stored pages. That really threw me the first time I used it!

Hi Mark, yeah, it's IE7. I was mainly using Jaws7 until last week you see. I'm getting into the habit of using Alt D instead of Control O and that is working OK. Still though it would be good to crack this one. Many thanks for your suggestions. They were gratefully received. I just thought I'd ask since you only upgraded a couple of days ago...not that's its of any real pertinence to your situation I suppose. The only other thing I can suggest, is if it doesn't cause any major inconvenience to anything you're doing, is to attempt to roll back to your old version of the software. Incidentally, do you use an alternative browser, and is similar behaviour exhibited? As well, I should've said that I only upgraded to IE7 in the past two days, and this open dialog box issue is happening since I upgraded. Using Super Spyware and CCleaner to fix any registry issues too didn't help either. And just to complicate matter further, I ran IE7 withall add-ons disabled and that didn't made any difference. I can't think ofany other tests to carryout. Its really weird that particular keystroke upsets things. Have you knowingly installed any new plug-ins for IE lately?
