Hi Mark, yeah, it's IE7. I was mainly using Jaws7 until last week you
see.
I'm getting into the habit of using Alt D instead of Control O and that
is
working OK. Still though it would be good to crack this one.
Many thanks for your suggestions. They were gratefully received.
Cheers,
Amro

Just to clarify, Amro, are you sure its IE 7 you've upgraded to, and not
IE8? I just thought I'd ask since you only upgraded a couple of days
ago...not that's its of any real pertinence to your situation I suppose.
The only other thing I can suggest, is if it doesn't cause any major
inconvenience to anything you're doing, is to attempt to roll back to
your
old version of the software. Incidentally, do you use an alternative
browser, and is similar behaviour exhibited?
Regards,
Mark

Indeed puzzling, Mark. As well, I should've said that I only upgraded to
IE7
in the past two days, and this open dialog box issue is happening since
I
upgraded. Using Super Spyware and CCleaner to fix any registry issues
too
didn't help either. And just to complicate matter further, I ran IE7
with
all add-ons disabled and that didn't made any difference. I can't think
of
any other tests to carryout.
Cheers,
Amro

Ambro,
Apart from suggesting you employ a few Anti-spyware programmes (which
I'm
sure you do routinely anyway), I'm at a bit of a loss here. Its really
weird that particular keystroke upsets things.
Have you knowingly installed any new plug-ins for IE lately?
Cheers,
Mark

Hi all, something odd happening with IE7. Whenever I use Control
O to open a
web address IE7 hangs and I have to kill it with the Windows Task
Manager.
When pressing Control O the open dialog box opens OK, but, as
soon as I
press enter after typing in a web address IE7 goes into a holt.
If I use Alt
D things work just fine.
I'm using IE7 on an XP Pro machine with Jaws 9.
Any thoughts?
Amro
