Hi Jackie
Just reading what you write below, comes from the deep recesses of my brain,
when I went to the RNC in Hereford they had students on courses that
involved recording, recording studio, equipment etc. Why not see if you can
contact them. I cannot be sure to what academic level this was taken but
presumably a reasonable level.
