I noted that Jackie referred to cost in terms of Goldwave but just a thought, do you get disabled student's allowance Jackie? obviously you do not have to answer that question right here on list but worth a thought. Having started my Masters at the Open University this has entitled me to a maximum over the study years of twenty thousand pounds but a maxium of ten thousand pounds in my first year.

Hi Jackie. If its sound editing software your after, Gold Wave might be an option. It has multi track sound editing and recording functions and plenty of affects to enhance and tweak your audio presentation, so that might be worth looking at. I haven't been following this thread much I'm sorry, but Audacity as you know is a sound editor, and Gold Wave has similar features and perhaps more, plus the cost is negligible and the program accessible with JAWS.All the best, Ibrahim.-----Original Message----- From: Jackie CairnsSent: Sunday, October 09, 2011 11:30 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Accessible Editing Software Hi PeleSomeone, and I cannot think of who it was, kindly sent me an attachment withDavid's tutorial, which was enormously kind.I'm going to try Adobe Auditions and Audacity. I suspect the Adobe softwarewill be inaccessible judging by what the lecturer was explaining, but younever know. But Audacity might be an option as the chap himself said it wasfree and certainly an alternative to Auditions. Thanks to all for suggestions, it's been brilliant. But I believe David Bailes has written a tutorial on using Audacity with JAWS. Google should find it. I don't know if it will do exactly what you want, but it is worth trying.
