Job done, and not only does it still compile it works too :P
I made a few interesting discoveries on the way that I'll follow up later, and
a little pleasant surprise.
Amongst other tests, I loaded up an extremely old xmz file and was quite
shocked to see a 'Parse Error' alert box. It took a while to realise that was
coming from 'Scales'... but I'd never touched the scale on that project.
Looking in 'Show Settings' revealed there was indeed a totally nonsense scale
with the first entry being zero. This was being picked up even though the scale
was disabled (so I never actually heard a problem).
I've no idea how or when the file got corrupted, but it seems that having that
last term missing on the XML load meant the scale was never completed and
checked, whereas it is now :)
