I would only add that it's a "2 way street out there"...it takes awareness on
both drivers and pedestrians...no one is "king of the roads". Kathy

I do not have a suggestion of how to frame it but, driver attitudes are the
issue. Signs are are only as good as they are being followed. Infrastructure is
only as good as its ability to force compliance.

Hello Kim, John, Lee !!!
The Editorial Link below is in today's " Bangor Daily News. " An ironic
Paradox...
Just today, at the Upgraded 4 Way Traffic Signal Controlled Intersection at
Bridge and Cumberland Streets,
for example, two observations:
1. On the slight downhill side of Bridge Street, facing Severino's Store, a
Driver was waiting for the Green Light, well beyond the Painted White STOP Bar.
2. The Driver behind that first Vehicle, turned RIGHT up Cumberland Street, on
the RED Light, despite the new LARGE Post mounted Sign:
NO RIGHT TURN
ON RED LIGHT
What has happened to Driver Responsibility ? Pedestrians are on their Own, in
spite of new Signage, new Pedestrian Activated Marked Crosswalk Controls.
