With the recent visits by a number of birders to FBMP to see the crossbill
flocks, you may want to know about other things happening here in the
coming months.
a) Raptor watches starting in September - these dates & times will be set
based on updated weather conditions;raptor watch dates & times will be
posted here on the Birdnet. Join us at the Bill Cowart memorial raptor
watch platform, which was dedicated last fall:

b) Grosbeaks Galore Birds and Habitat Workshop 2:

Washington Land Trust, the organization that owns and manages this and many
other properties in Ozaukee and Washington counties, go to:

If you are interested in a bird list for FBMP, you can create one in eBird;
if you would like a copy of the barchart checklist e-mailed to you, just
contact me. The FBMP bird list is now at 224 species, with records from
only the past 3 years -- all data recorded since the preserve was set up,
and land management and restoration was initiated. The recent Red
Crossbill sightings are not new additions to the checklist.

If you would like to visit the office and library of the Observatory at
FBMP, please make arrangements by emailing me. I am not on-site every day.
