Both Sat. and Sun. early morning I saw about 200 shorebirds at Hustisford (below the dam in Lions Prk on griffith st.) On Sun morn I got to meet Dave Schrab and he helped me find the "spinning" W Phalarope. Thanks Dave, lifer for me. Many of the same variety as noted in previous posts including 2 short billed dowitchers. What an awesome spot. With Dave's help we were able to walk right down to the shore and walk along the rocks to the east end of the stream and sit and watch less than 50 feet away. We almost didn't need any scopes. The birds didn't seem to even care that we were there. -- Douglas R Stratton Onalaska, La Crosse County #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
