Sunday afternoon Stopped by the first pullout south of Goose Island (just
south of La Crosse). about 50 TUNDRA SWANS. You will want a scope.
Someone from Fish and Wildlife was there with a scope and offering help. A
few hundred ducks: pintail, widgeon and mallard. A few shoveler and
gadwall too.
Also stopped by south of Brownsville again today. Similar to a couple days
ago. About 300 swans I estimate. However, only about 50 are close in near
the pullout viewing area. Likewise, most of the ducks were at distance.
there were some green winged teal and a few wood ducks in close viewing
range. Eagles along the bluffs.
