Had a small flock of redpolls show up on Saturday (12) and a slightly larger group today around 20 so guessing next weekend should be even better yet. Also while on the red cedar river near the town of Mikana we saw a flock of about 60 birds so clearly they have moved down in numbers. Seems a little earlier than normal at me at the cabin but I'll take it! Nothing else unusual at this point, lots of chickadees, a single junco, doves, both nuthatch's, blue jays (of course) and 4 species of woodpecker.
