The RED-NECKED PHALAROPE was seen again this morning in the same spot (east end of the north pond) around 8:30. There were also a VIRGINIA RAIL and SORA feeding together at the southwest corner of that pond. The aforementioned shorebirds were there, along with hoards of cedar waxwings, barn swallows, northern rough-wings, and some chimney swifts. Great blue herons, wood ducks, mallards -- a decent assortment. Good to find some more active water in the immediate Milwaukee area! I crossed the culvert and scoped the south pond from the railroad tracks. Tim, you likely didn't miss anything -- it was very quiet. Thanks to Jasonn and Tim for the post!
