At noon today:Pretty quiet at the ponds with the same list of birds more or
less as 2 weeks ago
Barn, rough-winged and tree swallows
Greater & lesser yellowlegs
Killdeer plovers
Blue-winged and green-winged teals
No. shovelers
Gadwalls
Scaups
Buffle Heads
Sandhill Crane
10 Yellow-rumped Warblers
1 Savannah Sparrow
Then headed over to Ester Park on my Pacific Loon quest (without success):
3 Common Loons
2 horned grebes
10 pied-billed grebes
At Olin Turville
5 Common Loons
2 Foster Terns
20+ horned grebes
1 Bonaparte gull
Monona Bay
15 Ruddy Ducks
At 7 PM from Monona terrace (Most of the wind now gone)
15 Common Loons spread all over the lake
15 Bonaparte gulls sitting on the water and flying around
