Good morning, I just happened to be looking out the window yesterday afternoon and across the street, out of the corner of my eye I saw a large bird fly up from the ground to a low tree branch. I thought to myself that was too big to be a dove. I walked outside to the end of the driveway, and saw it fly down to the base of the neighbor's house. I grabbed my binoculars from my car and realized it was a hawk, one I haven't seen before. I was thinking the whole time watching it that it was a Broad-winged Hawk. I grabbed my camera and drove one house down to get pictures. It didn't care that I was around, but the robins were sure harassing it. I just say there for about 5 minutes watching it look around. It was staying low to the groundin the trees and flying up and down to the ground. What a chance sight to see a life bird, in my own neighborhood no less. I have 4 pictures from different angles. If it is not a Broad-winged Hawk, please let me know. https://www.flickr.com/photos/20birds08/with/13981078843/ Have a great day, Jeremy Meyer Franklin, Milwaukee #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
