There were two about ten years ago.One by Richard Rhodes called John James
Audubon and another by William Souder called Under the Wild Sky: the Making of
Birds Of America. Both books were award winning. You may want to go on
Amazon or some other book site, browse through them and read a few pages.Â

Hi all,
There are several books on Audubon and I have not read any of them On an
upcoming trip I will need some reading material and thought Audubon may
a good topic. Any suggestions for a good read on Audubon that is an
accurate, readable, account of his, life, travels, and of course the
birds he discovered and illustrated?
