The Harris' sparrow was seen this morning near the original site in Lake Church. Not on the feeder, but gritting near the driveway. The bird frequents the brushy habitat on the south side of hwy D. On the feeder was a female BH cowbird, and a flock of 35 cedar waxwings on a flowering crab. 3 RL hawks patrolling Harrington. Hwy D dead end was poor for waterfowl. Of note; with easterly winds the ice shelf is growing to a level that nearly blocks views of the lake.
