A few years ago in late afternoon/early evening I would see several hundred
swifts disappear down the large chimney of Cherokee Middle School on Midvale
Boulevard/Cherokee Drive on the near west-side. I don't know whether or not
the roost is still in use, but I would guess this to be the case.
I had one nighthawk fly over my house tonight, bringing my total seen this
fall to three, although last year I saw 83 go over Hill Farm Swim Club one
evening in late August.
