Some highlights of the Madison Audubon/Friends of Cherokee Marsh woodcock walk last evening were: woodcocks sky dancing and on the path, where we were able to get scopes on them cooper's hawk, cardinal, and Canada goose on nests 2 sandhill cranes in the wetland and a flyover flock of 12 kingfisher pair of wood ducks ruby crowned kinglets hermit thrush flock of tree and barn swallows After most everyone had left, a raccoon came out to check out the garbage cans.
