Lester, Even after seeing your note that it would be the second earliest report of this bird, I'm still going shopping for some grape jelly and oranges when I get home tonight. After all, if there's been one reported earlier, there's nothing to say they won't arrive early this year. Better safe than sorry! Don't want them flying away because I'm not ready for them. I have never seen one this early, but that doesn't mean anything, so when I saw your report come in I immediately got up, split an orange and placed the oranges and grape jelly outside in the hopes of getting an early oriole myself! So far, nothing - but I am watching. I am also going to get my hummingbird feeders going - what the heck, nothing to lose!
