After some early morning business, and feeling better compared to last week and early this one, I birded by way down to the Arlington ponds, Pheasant Branch etc. Highlights included 8 Greater and 1 Lesser Yellowlegs on the 26 pond (south of Rosendale). Breezy Pt pond had only standard birds and not many at that. The Harvey/DM pond was good. 2 Dunlins were along the west side of Harvey. On the pond, more toward the middle and east end were 5 Bonaparte's Gulls, 150+ Gr White-fronted Geese, about 50 Cackling Geese and 1 Ross's Goose. The latter was on the east end. There was still a nice variety of ducks. Goose Pond is open and had 1 Ross's Goose on the east side, amongst the Canadas. On Osprey was circling over the junction of Patton Rd and DM. Pheasant Branch was rather quiet. Single Y-b Sapsucker, Yellow- rumped Warbler, Phoebe and Tufted Titmouse were seen, but little else. 86 species for the enjoyable day.
