I keep rereading your email to try and understand what your explaining. So
both SPL and XPS files contain the fonts that were used to print the document,
but that isnt on the EMF. Is that why playing back an EMF wont gaurentee that
the document will be the same as the original?

Also from what I understand is that the Spool file contains fonts of the
printed document while polaying back the EMF pages wont have the same fonts. So
again the question is why use EMF if we can copy the spool file? Given that the
driver installed prints a spool file that can be understood by my server.

Could it be because playing the EMF we dont have to worry about the drivers
~(~PS or PCL) because in a way the driver is what handles "how" to print them
we are just giving it "what" to print via EMF, but if we copy the spool file it
contains all the fonts or all the "how" but its printer driver specific, so I
would have to make sure the spool file is understood by my release printer.

Is that an overly simplified version of the problem of "pages" vs "spool" ?
