If you are logged onto the server and delete the file from the server,
it goes to the Recycle bin. If you are at a different computer and
delete the file, it is gone.
I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but that is what happens.

Subject: [windows2000] Recover deleted files from share drive on W2K
server

Hi All

I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to:

If I have a file up on a share drive (Windows 2000 server) and I delete
the
file, where does it go? I checked the recycle bin on the server, and
it's
not there, and I checked the recycle bin on the local workstation, and
the
file does not appear there either. Can someone point me in the right
direction?

Thank you in advance for your advice

Russell
