[windows2000] Re: Recover deleted files from share drive on W2K server

It is deleted.

There are server based "Recycle bins" to emulate the Novell dumpster
concept, but I have not used them.

For this time, if you didn't have one of those installed, you are SOL.

Subject: [windows2000] Recover deleted files from share drive on W2K
server

Hi All

I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to:

If I have a file up on a share drive (Windows 2000 server) and I delete the
file, where does it go? I checked the recycle bin on the server, and it's
not there, and I checked the recycle bin on the local workstation, and the
file does not appear there either. Can someone point me in the right
direction?

Thank you in advance for your advice

Russell
