Excuse me, Charles, but where did that reply come from !!??!!??

Both W2K and Windows NT can and do create profiles with .000 or .001
appended to the username (and sometimes include domainname). I've seen =
this
on NT when we move from one domain to another (which admittedly is
infrequent), as one example. I've never considered this "virus" or =
"hacker"
activity!

I don't think windows is doing that, it is typical behavior of someone
hacking your machine. Do you have a firewall? A/V protection?
