Hello Donald,
The problem mite be, that your WAV file which was created by Gold Wave, is in the wrong format.
I have created WAVE files using WAVE PAD DC 7 and Studio Recorder.
Those files wouldn't play in Winamp at first because I was using the Microsoft format. But when I rechanneled those files in to a PCM uncompressed format, they all played in Winamp without any problem.
Try doing this and see if that fixes the problem for you.
My best regards.
 John.

Subject: playing .wav files in Winamp 5.57

On both of my systems, each of which is running XP home, Winamp 5.57 will not play certain .wav files. For example, it plays .wav files just fine which were created using Total Recorder; however, Winamp refuses to play .wav files created by GoldWave.

Is there a fix for this? Will a later version of Winamp solve this? Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

Thanks.

Don Roberts
