hi Joanne,

you can get rid of the new version alert by doing the following:

press ctrl+p for winamp preferences, press arrow-up and look for general
preferences, now, tab until jaws announce "Check for new versions of Winamp
at startup" checkbox, press spacebar to uncheck it, finally press tab until
close button and press spacebar.

Subject: can i make the reminder message about upgrading go away?

This has never happened until this new version of Winamp. Every single time
I open a file to play it in 5.13 I am asked if I want to upgrade. Is there
a way to get rid of this reminder message? Gets tired hitting no all the
time, but if they don't fix the library I definitely don't want to upgrade
yet.
