Hi Scott
The more I read your posts, the more I think it's a windows media problem.
Unfortunately I don't have windows media player 9 anymore, I upgraded to
10. and because this list mainly focuses on the use of Winamp, this is
kind of off topic.
The only other thing I can suggest doing is to re-install Winamp on top of
itself. It may then grab the CD file association and fix things for
you. But if it's a windows media player issue, then that type of thing is
best for the pc-audio list. If you guys aren't on there, you should be
because it's a great list and it may help you with some of your other audio
related questions, plus Winamp is discussed there too sometimes. If you'd

Hope this helps.
Hi
Still having the problem of Windows Media still playing cd's. things I have done.
in Windows Media tried to change File association to play only video but their is no check box for doing so , does this have something to do with control panel and Administrative rights?
In Winamp, I have checked play cd in winamp, check all in file association but after I save it I go back in and none is what is checked.and checked restore preferences on start up.Is their a way to get windows to ask what player you want to be your default player? Think I check don't ask me anymore.
I'm blind and using Jaws screen reader.
Any help would be appreciated.
Scott
