Hi Wayne. Yes, that check box needs to be checked to enable the wave out
pluggin to be able to separate the system volume from the winamp volume. The
direct sound pluggin, from what I have read, also performs this function,
but I have never tried it. The definite way I know it works is the wave out
pluggin.
